MEET OUR LEADERS

2024-2025 Board of Directors

The Board is always looking for new members and extra help in many focus areas. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer!

Katy Derner

President

Future Cougars: Beau (Class of 2026) and Blair (Class of 2028)

My husband, Scott, and I moved into Belmont Addition in 2017 after two and a half years of long distance between Ohio and Arizona.  We were drawn to the neighborhoods' walkability to Greenville Ave and Tietze Park.  After our son, Beau, was born we set out to find other parents in the neighborhood and found the Pre-G Association, through which we have developed many friendships.  I currently work a freelance position for Bath and Body Works and Victoria Secret, but spend most of my time at home or on the go with Beau and Blair; while my husband is a Pharmacy Manager.  As Pre-G President, I look forward to maintaining a focus on connecting families in the area and also learning new ways to grow and serve our community.

Amy Meyer

Secretary

Future Cougars: Easton and Noah (Class of 2026)

My husband James and I are native Dallasites and moved to Lower Greenville in 2022 with our twin boys, Easton and Noah. I am a Director at Alix Partners where I provide forensic accounting, valuation, and dispute consulting services to clients in a variety of industries. James is a Senior Project Manager at Baker Concrete Construction and recently took on the role of Assistant Coach for the boys’ soccer team. We love exploring new restaurants in the area and the boys love zipping around the neighborhood construction sites and Tietze Park on their Strider bikes. We are so thankful for the community we’ve found through Pre-Geneva and are excited for Easton and Noah to attend Pre-K this year at the brand-new Geneva Heights Elementary!

Morgan Durco

Treasurer

Future Cougars: Madison (class of 2026) and Davis (Class of 2028)

My husband, Scott and I moved with our daughter Madison (3) from Chicago to Dallas in January 2022. Scotts job in commercial real estate brought us to Texas and we feel so fortunate to have found the neighborhood feel and walkability in Lower Greenville that we treasured in Chicago. Since making Llano Ave our home, we added Davis (1) and our dog Wrigley to the family. When not working in services sales for a tech company, you will find me outside with the kids or walking to one of our favorite coffee shops or bars. I value the Pre-G community and look forward to serving as Treasurer, managing all financial aspects of our organization.

Yashoda Bhagwat Rana

Fund Development

Future Cougars: Avi (Class of 2026)

My husband, Sundeep, and I are both Dallas transplants. He hails from California, while I'm originally from Michigan. We both moved to Dallas for work, and the city holds a special place in our hearts as it's where we met and had our son, Avi. I am a Professor of Marketing at TCU, and Sundeep is a managing principal at Castle Creek, an alternative asset management firm focused on the community banking industry. We cherish our evening strolls to Jeni's Ice Cream, longer walks on the Katy Trail, and traveling. PreG has given us the privilege of meeting so many amazing families, and we are truly grateful!

Courtney Colclough

VP of Membership

Future Cougars: Macsen (Class of 2027)

My husband and I moved to East Dallas in 2019, and in 2022, we welcomed our son into the world. Life has been anything but quiet since, and we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of our twin girls in 2025! I work as a technology lead at PwC, while Darren, who hails from the UK, runs his own marketing firm. We love exploring East Dallas, enjoying the local food, parks, and community events. Despite our hectic schedules, we always prioritize family time. The connections we’ve made at Pre Geneva have been an incredible support system, and we thoroughly enjoy contributing to our thriving community.

Aubrie Beysselance

Social Chair

Future Cougars: Maya (Class of 2027) and Alena (Class of 2029)

After moving from Europe to become Dallasites in 2018, my husband Pav and I absolutely fell in love with the Lower Greenville area and bought a historic Vickey Place home in 2019. After taking advantage of the Covid at-home era to fix it up, we welcomed our girls in 2021 and 2023. Pav works in tech procurement, and I have put my outside sales career on hold as my priority has become raising our fiery young girls. We are so fond of our walkable neighborhood full of the most wonderful and welcoming families! I’m committed to helping strengthen our community through PreG social events, including our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

Claire Cook

Parliamentarian

Future Cougars: Vivian (Class of 2026) and Bridgette (Class of 2029)

My husband Turner and I moved to Lower Greenville in 2019 and immediately fell in love. We love the sense of community and friendships in the neighborhood.  We had our daughter Vivian in 2021 and our daughter Bridgette in 2023. We are so excited to raise our girls here!  In our spare time, we like to walk down to Lower Greenville, try new restaurants, work out in the yard, and travel when we're able to get away. My role as parliamentarian is to guide the meetings and events to comply with our Bylaws. Professionally, I am an employment lawyer, and Turner is in Commercial Real Estate Development.

Keely Marie

Playgroup Coordinator

Future Cougars: Story (Class of 2027)

Our family moved to Dallas from California in 2022 and we feel so lucky to have found the Lower Greenville neighborhood and Geneva Heights community. I am so excited about continuing to meet all the wonderful people in the neighborhood while building community for our future Cougars through playgroup connections. Feel free to connect with me on anything and everything and I look forward to serving on the board this year!

Emily Knutson

VP of Communications

Future Cougars: Someday!

My husband, Ben, and I recently got married in June of 2024 and live next door to Geneva Heights. Originally from Kansas City, we moved to Dallas after graduating college in 2021. I have been in the neighborhood since 2022, and have enjoyed meeting the many awesome families in the Geneva Heights community. Ben works for KeyBank Real Estate Capital while I am a freelance social media manager. Given my background in social media marketing, our neighbor recommended me for this gig to help out with the School's online social media presence! We love to spend time with our mini poodle, Beau, and though we don't have any future cougars yet, we are honored to be a part of a great community!

As VP of communications, you will frequently see my name popping up on the Facebook page and any emails in your inbox are most likely sent by me! Make sure you are following our Instagram (@pregeneva) and Facebook page!!

Ginny Hajek

Engagement Director/VP of Outreach

Future Cougars: Madeline (Class of 2025) and Walter (Class of 2029)

My husband, Andrew, and I are East Dallas natives and DISD graduates, excited to watch our children carry on the family tradition as fourth-generation DISD students. We have strong ties to the neighborhood—my dad and his four sisters attended what is now Geneva Heights, and my grandmother even served as PTA President! I’m a technology manager in the airline industry, and Andrew is a cinematographer. This year, I’m thrilled to be serving on the Pre-Geneva Board for the first time, and can’t wait to contribute to our amazing community!
